Oceans 7

The Oceans Grand Slam is an Open Water Swimming solo challenge to complete the Oceans Seven (crossing of seven channels around the world), in addition to completing a 1 km swim anywhere within the Arctic Circle and the Antarctic Circle in the Southern Ocean. The Oceans Grand Slam is Open Water Swimming's equivalent of the Explorers Grand Slam (achieved by 64 mountaineers to date).

Only 18 swimmers have completed the Oceans 7. I aspire to be the first individual to complete the Oceans Grand Slam, and will keep my progress below:
  • ✅ English Channel (Dover, England to Calais, France) - 34.0 K (11h04') - 7/7/2018
  • ✅ Catalina Channel (Catalina Island to San Pedro CA, USA) - 34.0 K (11h12') - 8/16/2018
  • ✅ Ice KM Swim in Antarctica, the Southern Ocean - 1.0 K (12'50'') - 11/20/2018
  • ✅Ice KM Swim in the Arctic Circle - 1.0 K (14'23'') - 3/16/2019
  • 🔜Strait of Gibraltar (Tarifa, Spain to Point Cires, Morocco) - 14.0 K (or 28.0 K if two-way!)
  • 🔜Molokai / Kaiwi Channel (Molokai to Oahu HI) - 42.0 K
  • 🔜North Channel (Northern Ireland to Scotland) - 36.0 K
  • 🔜Tsugaru Channel (Honshu to Hokkaido in Japan) - 20.0 K
  • 🔜Cook Strait (North to South Island in New Zealand) - 26.0 K
That makes a total of 206 K in 9 open water swims in the Seven Seas / Five Oceans.
